Saying hallo

Post  Earthwise on Tue Feb 09, 2010 8:36 am

Hallo, I'm Christine, I'm in the UK and I'm a Mooncup user (sounds like a confession!). I first heard about the Mooncup when I had babies and someone was talking about them on a baby website, and I admit I thought "eewww not for me" but the idea kind of grew on me and then when I started running my own nappy business, I very much took the view that I should try everything I was selling, and therefore had to try out a Mooncup! And of course before long I was echoing what my customers had been saying to me for ages which was "I wish I'd done it sooner". So there we have it. I'm a convert to eco sanpro. I also use some washable menstrual pads and even possess some menstrual sea sponges - all in the name of product testing, although these days I've got a website dedicated to the sanpro so you don't have to trawl through the nappy pages first to find the reusable sanitary products ( http://www.earthwisegirls.co.uk if it's ok to mention it).

I've had my Mooncup about 4/5 years now and get on with it great, would be happy to try and problem solve with other people if needed, will pop in when I can!

Oh, should probably clarify that I have a UK Mooncup as I know there is a US brand using the same name.

Another thing worth a mention to other menstrual cup fans is the Facebook group I started a while back called The Bloody Waste! Anyone can join, add links to relevant sites, talk about eco sanpro of any kind:

Hello Christine,

Welcome to the board Smile Always good to have more seasoned cup users who can help answer questions. Its great that you try your products out, I probably would if I was running a business with such items. It helps you to be able to answer customers' questions, and satisfies your own curiosity. Also, thanks for the link, there is always room for more helpful websites! Very Happy

Thanks Melissa, of course the only downside to testing out all my menstrual products is that I now have a ridiculous collection of them - far too much really! I'm thinking I will have to rope in some extra product testers, I have 4 daughters but none of them is quite there yet Smile

Hello! I am impressed by how long you've been a cup user. It's rare to come accross "proffesionals" lol.
