FDA approval

Post  Feminine Wear on Fri Nov 20, 2009 9:33 pm

Today Lunette announced that they have received their FDA approval. This means that soon customers in the USA can legitimately buy a Lunette and have it shipped to them. I sell Lunettes in the UK and still cannot ship to the USA. I have been told that new packaging needs to be designed as well as new leaflets. So, I cannot sell any of my current stock to the USA. It shouldn't be too long, though.
There are a lot of happy USA women today Very Happy

yes, there are a few of us pretty happy...i've wanted a lunette since i found out about cups...and wanting to order SOMETHING from you Theresa...love that you follow the LJ comm. and seem like a pretty cool business person. Although I suppose ordering from you (and having to ship all the way here) wouldn't be very cost effective on my end. Like it's very smart to want a third cup anyways...oh well. Rolling Eyes

Teresa offers pretty fair shipping rates, as well as fast shipping. Not to mention, great customer service! I speak from personal experience, and pretty much anyone else who ordered from her will say the same. The money eventually gets back to the manufacturers one way or another. So not only is femininewear a good ordering experience, which does not take away from the manufacturers, but buying from there helps to support a good distributor. Convinient too, as you can order more than one brand from her, as well as other items.

I will second that Lunette is a great brand. I don't like to cut the stems off my "photo/video example" cups. But later on, I might buy me a small regular lunette for private use on my light days, and trim the stem off. I don't want to trim or stain my small selene, lol. Right now, I use Miacup for heavy days, because its soft and won't discolor. I really think that Miacup and Lunette are my 2 top favs, couldn't pick one over the other Smile

Also, thank you Teresa for taking the time to post about the approval here, I completely forgot to do it today, lol

Thanks Hairball :-) Can't ship the Lunette yet, though.
Melissa, sorry I should have let you post about the FDA first, sorry, I couldn't contain my enthusiasm.
Melissa, thanks for your comments about my business. I do find a lot of women order 2 or 3 brands as it works out better postage wise. Maybe Hairball, you could go in with some friends and buy together.
Naturcup is next and then there will be 11 brands!

Teresa,
i've been trying to get my sister and my niece to look at the size charts and pick out cups they think would work for them so i could get them for them for Christmas. Then I COULD possibly order different cups from you. I don't think they quite get yet how GREAT cups are as they've not gotten back to me about which cup they'd like to try. And i'm impatient and want EVERYONE to try cups. And a tad obsessive about new fabulous things. Very Happy

That's great - lets hope they go for it. Are you looking at my size charts?

There's an interesting thread going on LJ comparing sizes. I thought Melissa would have jumped on by now - lol!
http://community.livejournal.com/menstrual_cups/1969006.html - I have noticed a few comments by you, Hairball.
The large ladycup has a capacity of 26ml to the holes, as given to me by the manufacturer. But the LJ lady who started the thread is saying 20ml and there is a big discussion about what cup she should get with a higher capacity than her 20ml (26ml). The confusion is that my capacity chart is based on information supplied to me from the manufacturer. The LJ charts are using info given by women that use them. So, which measurement do you go by???
Then I threw in the Wikipedia measurements which seem very unclear and completely different again. I think the charts with info from the manufacturers should be the ones to go by.
What do you think?
Melissa, the lady would like to know which cup holds the most up to the holes, she's looking at a large meluna but it doesn't appear to have much more capacity based on this http://www.femininewear.co.uk/cup-capacity-g-37.html

Oh drat, I actually was going to jump in on that discussion, I just got side-tracked, lol. I was going to go in the bathroom and film myself filling up a lunette with water to its holes, then pouring it into a large meluna, and getting a close up shot of where the water levels are in relation to the holes. But I think the topic is pretty much burried by new posts in the other forum now Sad

Maybe I can just post it here?
