Alicia Cup

Post  Admin on Sat Nov 14, 2009 8:09 am

If you own this cup, feel free to jump right in and do a post about it! To get this thread started, I have posted this link to my WordPress information page about menstrual cups, containing a review (with photos) for Alicia cup. Comments are welcome, and so are new posts:

Hey,

Alicia DOES exist, it's long and thin, unlike any other brand (except maybe Yuuki, except it's not exactly the same material). the stem is extremely long so that women can cut it as they wish...

Only size S seems to be available. But the business plan seems different too, very unlike other brands :-)

just wait and see Very Happy

Oh I agree it exists, there are many women who purchased them in the past. But I did hear that it is no longer being sold retail anymore. The Ce'lle company bought the right to it (they send kits to women in the mail to collect and freeze menstrual blood for stem cell research, the kit contains a freezable box and sample tubes, along with a menstrual cup to collect the blood, etc.).

If you know of any sources that are actually willing to sell the Alicia though, please share Smile.

I just sent them an email telling them that their website is full of potenitally legally problematic claims and that they need to read rather than just spellcheck (hyperallogenic? I'm not interested in that one then).

I've sent them tons of emails too, but never an answer. Its ok though, because they don't sell their cup anymore anyway. They signed the rights over to the C'elle company for research purposes. What's even more crazy, I think, is that its been almost a year since they sold out, but the Alicia section of their website is still up and running, even though they have no cups to sell. In addition to the spelling, they need to update their site in general Smile
